"How do I turn on the lights in the backyard??"On the Southwest corner of the home where the original indoor timer is along with an outlet, timer was set to go on at 7pm and go off around 1am, timer was turned on and plugged in. If guests are trying to do it manually, they have to open the timer box and hit the metal “On/Off” flip switch (that’s the indoor timer that is mounted outside). I have updated this in “Property Info” as well

Do you have any suggestions for things to do in or around Yucca Valley? Also, will it be snowing that time-- and if so, will the pool/ hot tub/ grill still be accessible? Will I need chains for the car if it is snowing?Hi Shally, the hot tub and grill will be accessible! It is a possibility that you may need chains coming up Morongo Valley Grade, but likely will not. Historically, it will not be snowing at that time, but there is no way to tell for sure until the weather reports come out, so keep checking! Also just a heads up, the house comfortably sleeps 2 per bed, 1 on a twin floor mattress. So the 8th guest would have nowhere to sleep but the couch which is small so you may want to bring an extra mattress!:)

It looks like a skull head! Barker Dam takes you around the original dam that the settlers used, and Arch Rock nature trail takes you around the famous arch rock, where people sometimes have weddings and photo shoots! Also Black Rock Campground has access to a ton of great nature trails with signs posted, and parking is available right there at the visitor center if it is open! We have a 4 wheel drive truck but know sometimes they’re still required.Hi Clayton, sure thing! It is always a good idea to have the chains or approved socks at least with you in your trunk for the winter months there. I find that the approved tire socks are much easier to slip on while pulled over safely in a pinch.
Jill Handler12/10/22Hi Michelle, my husband does love the home and location. He is very concerned about the portable a/c units. I knew this would be a stickler for him and he was asking me to look for a place with central air. It might put us at ease if we knew how large the portables are. There are many kinds of units and this may seem relentless, but it is important that we don’t repeat the uncomfortable situation we had in July of 2021. Please let me know the sizes of these 3 units. Also, if we wanted to extend or reduce the dates after we know all of our family plans, how difficult would that be? I am pretty sure on the Thursday to Monday check out, but not 100%. THANK YOU. Extending the days is easy as long as nobody books the dates you need to extend to (we cannot guarantee availability), and our cancellation policy should be on the AirBnB listing--are you able to see it? Stay reductions can be a little more tricky if they fall outside of our cancellation policy because it affects our ability to re-book those dates. If they fall outside of the cancellation policy, we are able to refund half of the booking on a case-by-case basis with the owners. Let me know if this helps!:)

The best I can do is check in with our cleaner tomorrow around noon and let you know as soon as they are finished in case they finish early. Caltrans seems undecided on which or if any roads up will be open Friday and I just wanted to start the discussion about what happens if we are unable to make the reservation. We do have multiple propane tanks onsite for the bbq and heating lamps, and offer reimbursement for proprane tank refills in the case they are empty. Thanks!Hi S, the property owners are open to making an exception regarding our pet policy, which typically allows for only one dog weighing over 20 lbs. In this case, they are willing to accept the three golden retrievers and double the non-refundable pet fee, making it $150 for all three dogs.

It's crucial to note that the owners request that the dogs stay off the furniture during your stay. Any damages found during our cleaning process may result in additional cleaning or damage charges.

Nate Sookwongse12/18/24How many parking spots in driveway/garage?Hi Nate, the driveway can fit four cars, and there is a five-car legal limit for out VHR permit. The garage is a two-car but used for storage - code can be provided by request upon your arrival. Hope this helps!
