13th edition - November 2024

The 13^th edition of the Administration of the Immigration and Citizenship Programs Paper (the Administration Paper) has been published. The Department of Home Affairs (the department) has developed the Administration Paper to provide understanding of the composition and management of Australia’s immigration and citizenship programs.

The department continues to manage Australia’s immigration program in a way that anticipates and responds to changes in both the domestic and international environment, to advance national interests and support migrants and their families. The department supports the Government’s reform agenda to deliver sustainable levels of migration, while attracting migrants that will help fill labour shortages and drive productivity. 

The Administration Paper complements existing publicly available information and data regularly updated on Live visa statistics and at the Australian Government data website. The Administration Paper evidences the department’s efficient and effective administration of its Immigration and Citizenship Programs. This ensures Australia retains its status as one of the most peaceful, united and culturally diverse countries in the world.
